How I Felt About Ohio Street

This is a developing series of felt figure dioramas based on the people who populated my neighborhood on lower Ohio Street in Bangor, Maine, for several years. It aligns closely with my other projects, the Steeple Series and the Bangor, Maine Series of digital art, but this brings a more personal, warm perspective to life in that neighborhood. While lower Ohio Street has a dubious reputation in town, I wanted to show that the people there are interesting, diverse, and often I found sweetness and poignancy where others might not even bother to look. The images below are of unfinished pieces and some of the source photos that inspired them. They will be finished in felt diorama settings and photographed, and I plan to have the photos available for purchase as prints and cards in the near future.
